ACIDIFICATION RESEARCH PROJECT

ree

Agronomist Corey Angelo is conducting a 2 year research project for the SNGCSA. He will be reviewing 3 different methods of soil acidification. The first method is the sole use of a sulfur burner currently being used at Boulder Creek Golf Club. The second method will combine the use of a sulfur burner and sulfuric acid injection; this is being done at Anthem Country Club. The third method tested will be the use of a sprayable acid known as pHacid.

This is being tested at Canyon Gate Country Club. This study will compare and contrast both soil and water testing results over a two-year period that began in the summer of 2013.

I’m thrilled to share my experience with the ACIDIFICATION RESEARCH PROJECT—it’s been an incredible opportunity to explore such a critical environmental issue. As an international student, balancing academics and research was challenging, but thankfully, law universities in the UK for international students provided exceptional support. Their services, from visa guidance to academic resources, made my journey smoother.
