  • As a key member of the property’s golf course maintenance team, the Assistant Superintendent reports directly to the Lead Assistant Golf Course Superintendent and Golf Course Superintendent He or She will assist with the day-to-day oversight of the maintenance and agronomic practices of the golf course, adjacent grounds, including but not limited to the clubhouse landscaping and maintenance complex.

Full Job Description
Wolf Creek Golf Club is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity as head mechanic/equipment manager for the entire maintenance fleet of carts, mowers, small tools, tractors and more. Wolf Creek is known for its appearances on multiple different EA sports video games, many VR and other online golf games. This course is truly a video game designed in real life with over 290ft of elevation changes throughout the property. This creates a very unique opportunity for a mechanic to hone his/her skills to their own fleet of equipment on a rugged/unique property.

The equipment manager reports to the golf course superintendent and/or the Lead Assistant Golf Course Superintendent and oversees a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for the golf course assets. This program includes the diagnostics and repair of failing equipment, keeping records of parts and labor needed to maintain each piece of equipment, and placing orders for parts and supplies needed for equipment or service. The equipment manager properly communicates any needs or problems relating to the maintenance or repair of equipment to the superintendent and/or the Lead Assistant Superintendent. He or She is responsible for the work assignments of the assistant equipment manager. The equipment manager places safety as a top priority for all aspects of this position.

Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

South Shore Country Club

We are seeking an experienced, self-driven candidate to fill this important role with the Club.


The Assistant Superintendent role at South Shore Country Club is a highly visible position with varied responsibilities.  The candidate is expected to participate in Club-wide operational meetings, work with the Superintendent on scheduling and safety programs as well as takes a hand on approach to any and all golf course related issues.

  • Daily scheduling and supervision of golf course staff members

  • Detailed communication with Golf Course Superintendent and Club managers on all things related to golf course

  • Assist in implementation of safety programs

  • 3-5 years of golf course experience, preferably with management

  • Coordinate with equipment manager to ensure preventative maintenance, repairs and readiness of equipment fleet

  • Observe and evaluate playing conditions (moisture, mowing quality, bunker raking, course set up) to take corrective action or report to Superintendent

  • Maintain effective teammate and public relations

  • Assist the Superintendent in keeping records of maintenance activities

Golf Course Superintendent

All duties related to operating and maintaining the golf course maintenance operation at a high-end private country club including all turf grass and plant material programs, irrigation systems/programs, annual overseeding process, water management, property/asset management, HR management, budget preparation, scheduling, pesticide management, risk management, compliance issues, create a positive/safe work environment for the employees, train/mentor staff, and all related duties of a golf course superintendent.
