This creates a very unique opportunity for a mechanic to hone his/her skills to their own fleet of equipment on a rugged/unique property.

Overview
The equipment manager reports to the golf course superintendent and/or the Lead Assistant Golf Course Superintendent and oversees a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for the golf course assets. This program includes the diagnostics and repair of failing equipment, keeping records of parts and labor needed to maintain each piece of equipment, and placing orders for parts and supplies needed for equipment or service. The equipment manager properly communicates any needs or problems relating to the maintenance or repair of equipment to the superintendent and/or the Lead Assistant Superintendent. He or She is responsible for the work assignments of the assistant equipment manager. The equipment manager places safety as a top priority for all aspects of this position.
Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

The Assistant Superintendent role at South Shore Country Club is a highly visible position with varied responsibilities. The candidate is expected to participate in Club-wide operational meetings, work with the Superintendent on scheduling and safety programs as well as takes a hand on approach to any and all golf course related issues.

3-5 years of golf course experience, preferably with management

Observe and evaluate playing conditions (moisture, mowing quality, bunker raking, course set up) to take corrective action or report to Superintendent

Maintain effective teammate and public relations

Assist the Superintendent in keeping records of maintenance activities
